1. 장소 (Location): Quivira Jetty, Mission Bay 샌디에고
2. 시간 & 물때 (Time & Tide):  04:00 - 06:00 pm,  정조에서 들물로 (Slack tide to incoming)

3. 오늘의 조과 (Today's Catch):  삼광 (three halibuts) + 많은 입질과 랜딩 못함 ㅋㅋ
4. 오늘의 채비 (Today's setup)
    - 낚싯대 (Rod): 다이와 라테오 86엠엘케이 (Daiwa Lateo 86ML K)
    - 릴 (Reel): 다이와 23 레가리스 LT 3000-CHX (Daiwa 23 Legalis LT 3000-CHX)
    - 낚싯줄 (Line): 원줄 합사 15lb 테스트 + 목줄 카본 15b 테스트 (15lb braid main + 15lb fluorocarbon leader)
    - 루어 (Lure): 리트마 서프 미노우 110SP (Littma surf minnow 110SP Pearl pink belly)

낚시는 꾸준히 다님. 고등어 매퉁이만 낚여서 블로그를 올릴 일이 없었음ㅋㅋㅋ I've been fishing regularly, but only catching mackerel lately—nothing blog-worthy, lol.
오늘은 주말 오후 잠깐 온 가족이 다 같이 미션베이로 출근.  늦은 오후 주말이라 그런지 방파제를 따라 많은 사람들이 낚시하고 있었음. 오늘은 광어를 잡겠다는 생각으로 루어를 바리바리 들고 안 가고. 저크베이트 + 메탈지그 몇 개만 들고 감. This afternoon, the whole family headed out to Mission Bay for a quick fishing session. Being a late weekend afternoon, the jetty was pretty packed with anglers. I went light today, hoping to catch a halibut larger than 50cm—just brought a few jerkbaits and metal jigs, no full tackle bag.

일요일 늦은 오후. 퀴비라 방파제.

 
방파제 오른쪽은 배가 다니는 수로라 그래도 수심이 어느 정도 됨. 보통 찌낚시를 거기서 하고. 그냥 반대편으로 넘어가면 아주 얕은 수로가 있음. 물때도 정조시간이고 그리 높지 않아서 거기서 시작. 작은아들 와이프는 그냥 뒤에서 앉아서 경치구경. 큰 아들과 나만 열심히 낚시. The right side of the jetty is a boating channel, so it's relatively deep—I usually float-fish there. But I crossed over to the other side. The tide was at slack and not too high, so I started fishing there. My younger son and wife just relaxed and enjoyed the view while my older son and I got to work.
얼마 지나지 않아 작은 광어가 낚였으나, 랜딩직전 빠짐... 느낌이 좋음. 얼마 안 지나서 수로 중간쯤에서 텅하고 하는 입질. 생각보다 큰 광어가 하나 올라옴. 길이를 재보니 20인치. 잡아서 가져갈 수 있는 길이에서 2인치 빠짐. 아쉬움을 뒤로하고 아들과 사진 찰칵. Not long after, I hooked a small halibut, but it got off right before landing—still, it felt promising. Soon after, I got a solid hit around the middle of the channel and landed a nice halibut. It measured 20 inches, just 2 inches short of keeper size. Took a pic with my son and released.

그 뒤로 두 마리 더 잡았으나. 작은 사이즈.

이 날따라, 아주 입질이 많았다. 서프 미노우 루어랑 물때가 잘 맞아졌나? 저기 수로에는 물가에는 수초가 자리하고 있다. 그 사이사이 작은 베이트 피시가 많이 숨어 있다. 그 베이트 피시를 찾아서 그 주위로 캐스팅하면 나오는 것 같고, 수초 넘어 수로 중간 쪽으로 가면서 물이 좀 깊어지는 구간이 있는데 그런데를 공략한 게 주요했던 듯. There were tons of bites—maybe the surf minnow lure magic? The channel edge is lined with eel grass patches, and there are lots of baitfish hiding in there. Casting near them or targeting the deeper mid-channel areas between weed beds seemed to work best.
